As each year passes WorldFlight attracts more full cockpit simulators to our group. This year we will have four additional fixed base simulators bringing the WFG teams to eleven. The WFG teams are from the UK, Germany, USA and Australia. The cockpits represent both Boeing and Airbus jet airliners with the B737-800 being the most popular. There are also two B747-400s, one Boeing 777 and a new Airbus A330.

Each of the teams raise money for approved charities and these charities can be found on each team’s website. WorldFlight Group management will monitor the fund raising and ensure that each team passes on 100% of money raised to their nominated charity.

This year the WFG will depart Sydney Australia [YSSY] on Sunday November 3rd at 2200UTC and visit 44 airports, cover 39,388nm and take seven days to complete, finishing up back in Sydney on November 10th at approximately 0845UTC. The flights are conducted in real time and have a 50min turnaround time after each leg to allow for a crew change, briefing and refuelling.

All VATSIM pilots are encouraged to participate in WF2013 and to this end we will be providing links to both freeware and payware sceney files for most of the airports along the route. In the case of payware scenery providers we will be negotiating discounted rates for the duration of WF2013.

Air Traffic Services will be provided by your local Air Traffic Controllers and when they are not available the ATC will be provided by the WFG ATC team under special arrangements with VATSIM.
